Businesses must focus on inclusion for diversity to work, finds new toolkit from Harvey Nash
LONDON – Thursday 6th October 2016 – Harvey Nash, the global professional and executive recruitment group, today launches the Inclusion Toolkit podcast series with leading voices on creating an inclusive workplace.
Included in the toolkit are interviews with business leaders and experts from organisations such as Google, Santander, KPMG, Lloyds and the Royal Mail, on the diversity and inclusion issues that many businesses find difficult to address.
The toolkit has been launched to share best practice, enable discussion and broaden awareness of some of the most challenging topics faced by businesses today.
Although more businesses now recognise the importance of having a diverse workforce, for many this still means gender.
The toolkit shows that diversity comes in many shapes and forms and those businesses that have created inclusive working environments, where everyone feels respected and equal, are more likely to attract the best talent and see higher performance.
Included in the toolkit are incredible stories about organisations supporting transgender individuals during transitioning, enabling those with disabilities, creating opportunities for disadvantaged youths and raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing.
The Inclusion Toolkit follows Harvey Nash’s 2014 Diversity Toolkit series, which features business case studies on culture change and workplace diversity initiatives.
