We are now recruiting an IT Security Specialist to strengthen St1’s Nordic Business Technology team. You will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing and monitoring security measures for St1 systems. You have capabilities to design, build and oversee the implementation of network and computer security for an organization. You can work independently but also cooperate well with others. The position is located in Helsinki or Stockholm.

Key responsibilities

Your tasks include monitoring network traffic for unusual activity, and defending systems against unauthorized access, modification and destruction. You will respond immediately to security incidents and provide necessary post-incident analysis, as well as perform vulnerability and networking security assessments. In this role you oversee and monitor routine security administration as well as configure and support security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software, patch management systems. You also get to conduct security audits, make policy recommendations as well as design and implement network security policies, application security, access control and corporate data safeguards.

Your responsibility is to analyse and establish security requirements for the systems and networks as well as develop and update business continuity and disaster recovery protocols. You will define access privileges, control structures and resources, and continuously research and recommend security upgrades. In this position, you will also provide technical advice and train fellow employees in security awareness and procedures, and you are responsible for the outsourced security operations centre activities and act also as their contact point.

Expected knowledge and skills

  • You have strong understanding of databases, networks, systems and system integration and you have previous experience from working in specialist or administration roles.
  • You are interested in the developments in Cyber Security
  • You are familiar with IT Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) as well as applicable laws and regulations related to IT Security
  • You have experience with Antivirus software and web proxy management
  • Experience from end-user training is considered as a merit
  • You have a Computer Science or related degree or an IT Security certification
  • You are analytical, logical and you can prioritize work load
  • You have excellent communication skills as well as English skills – fluency in Swedish, Finnish or Norwegian is considered an advantage
