Successful CIO event in Stockholm this week
This week we launched our 2018 CIO survey together with KPMG. For the 20th year running, we were proud to present the latest insights from IT leaders across the world.
A big thank you to all who took part in the survey and helped contribute to the results. The complete report will be available from the 25th June but until then you can always contact us to talk about key findings or visit our website www.hnkpmgciosurvey.com for the latest news.

All told the respondents jointly represent an IT budget of $ ¼ trn – a substantial influence over IT investments in the near future. Last year we reported how CIOs were holding a steady line in the face of global uncertainty, cutting costs and refining business processes. Whilst much of this geopolitical instability remains, this year’s report shows how CIOs are benefitting from bigger budgets and headcount growth.
49% of IT leaders reported budget increases in the last year. Indeed, more IT leaders are enjoying budget increases than we have seen in the last thirteen years of reporting.
Keep an eye out for more findings. The role of IT departments and of the CIO role itself is forever evolving and changing. The modern successful CIO is truly a transformational leader.
