The Dutch food start-up No Fairytales is coming to Sweden and is looking for a Country Manager to start the business locally, developing their new listing with ICA and building relationships with new Retailers and Foodservice/HORECA/B2B clients in a creative and innovative way. This position will be based in Stockholm and report to the CEO and Founder in Amsterdam.

The challenge!

As Country Manager you will be the first employee in Sweden, working high and low, having the full responsibility for the strategic and operative development for the Swedish market and potentially the Nordics. You’re days will include everything from creating and executing on sales and marketing strategy to developing the relationship with clients and managing partners such as an external field sales force. You will need to work creatively and innovative to spread the word about No Fairytales, building interest and engagement with end consumers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing client relationships (Retail and Foodservice/HORECA/B2B) and sales efforts (strategically and hands-on).
  • Managing external field sales force
  • Together with the Marketing Manager in The Netherlands, shape the brand in sales-driven marketing activities. Building and spreading No Fairytales brand and story with innovative and creative marketing efforts and partnerships and being a true ambassador for a healthy and delicious environment.
  • Launching new innovative products on the Swedish market.
  • Creating business recommendations and cases for trade terms, promotions, price and sales mix to ensure maximized development and ROI.
  • Working close with the team of 6 people in Amsterdam; Founder, Logistics Manager, Marketing Manager, Innovation Manager, Out of Home Sales Manager and New Business Developer.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an energetic entrepreneur with strong knowledge of the Swedish FMCG landscape. A creative and business driven leader with experience working with the major retailers and preferably also Foodservice/HORECA clients.

  • A commercial background, preferably from food or similar FMCG companies
  • Several years of experience from senior level sales or marketing roles such as Senior KAM, Head of KAM, Sales Manager, Senior Brand Manager or Marketing Manager.
  • A network within grocery trade and food landscape in Sweden and preferably the Nordics 
  • Academic education, preferably within business/economics or IHM (or similar)
  • Strong communications skills in Swedish and English, both oral and written.

Other than that, we believe that are a result oriented person with strong analytical ability, always ensuring the execution of a good idea. You are a commercial professional with the customer in focus, not a theoretician, with well-developed influencing skills. With your engagement you make an impact and you have a natural credibility amongst your stakeholders.
