Key Account Manager, ICA / KAM

JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS (JDE) wants to continue growing a profitable business and need to strengthen their organisation with a driven and development oriented Key Account Manager to handle the largest and strategic important customer. You will contribute to the business by building long term relations and together develop the category. This role is a great step to join a fast-growing international company in a challenging and stimulating working environment and a great opportunity to be part of the company’s future growth.  The position is located at JDE’s Nordic HQ in Copenhagen and travelling to Stockholm will be required.

Areas of responsibility and challenges

The role plays an important part in further developing JDE on the Swedish market. You will have the overall responsibility of the largest account and for developing sales strategies to support the growth of company’s business. You will be part of the KAM team (5 people) with responsibility of ICA and reports to the Head of KAM.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the development of sales strategies, aimed at the achievement or surpassing of pre-determined sales objectives for supporting the growth of the company’s business (referencing, range, shelf, activation, revenue management).
  • Deal with large national modern distribution accounts and be in charge of the expansion of sales, introducing new products/services to clients and organizing visits to current and potential clients.
  • Management of the assigned budget
  • Achieve the annual volume objectives pre-established by the Company based on the company’s sales and promotional policy.
  • Implement the Company’s sales policy, adapting it to the client’s situation; negotiate net invoice amounts, introduction of new products, “close” brochures and publications, develop other projects (e.g., Management by Category), etc.
  • Analysis and follow up of client profitability
  • Regularly manage each client’s budget, seeking maximum payback for each action.
  • Work with the “Point of Sales Managers” team to ensure regular activities in the stores, in addition to obtaining the best standards of execution in the point of sales.
  • Coordinate with the international team, Global Sales for preparing the annual plan, establishing objectives, deciding on actions and present the local view at international meetings.
  • Promotion insights, analysis and development of optimal campaign plan

Candidate profile

JDE are looking for a business oriented person with experience of working with consumer goods, preferably retail, fast-moving consumer goods or similar. You need to have a commercial attitude together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build long-term relationship and the ability to influence stakeholders. You are motivated by working in an international organization with a long-term growth agenda, in a fast-paced changing environment and have a great passion of being part of a successful team.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Solid track as key account manager in consumer goods
  • Experience in negotiations with retailers
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Academic degree in Business Administration or equivalent
