Royal Canin is looking for their new VET Sales & Marketing Director, Nordic Cluster; with location at their Nordic head office in Ørestad. Royal Canin offers an exciting and challenging role in an international organization that develops, produce and market high end brands of pet foods products. The pet food industry is one of the fastest growing segments in terms of growth, customer acquisition and revenues. The VET Sales & Marketing Director is a member of the Nordics Cluster Leadership Team, and reports to the Cluster General Manager. You have four direct reports and a team of approx. 25 people. The VET net sales value is 35 million euro.

As part of your responsibilities you will have to:

  • Propose and create the long-term and yearly strategic VET business plan, aligned with RC and Petcare strategy, for approval by the General Manager and Cluster LT. Secure results of approved VET Business Plan within the guidelines of the company and measure them.
  • Secure that VET Team consistently delivers exceptional sales results and deliver top-of-the-range marketing plans and their perfect execution.
  • Build a high performance team to assure targets are achieved, deeply engaged as well as develop a strong VET talent pipeline through effective leadership.
  • Have the perfect Sales Execution Foundations in place and continuously improve them: client segmentation, KPIs, Incentives for Sales, Develop effective or new “Route To Market” both for veterinarians and pet owners (Multifunctions Project).
  • Increase the level of Physical Availability of Hero SKUs and Flag Ship Products in Clinics, increase Mental Availability of the Royal Canin Brand, of our Hero SKUs and our Flag Ship Products and therefore drive prescription of our products.

Candidate profile:

We are looking for a proven sales leader with a background from the FMCG and/or the Pharmaceutical industry. Since Royal Canin is a FMCG-company, you like to be in a fast-paced international environment, and you are driven by achieving results and contributing to the overall business. Further, you have a strong business acumen, you are driven by motivating and developing others for success, and working with developing the market.  

Requirements:

  • University degree
  • At least 5 years management experience. Proven track record in development and engagement of associates and a team
  • At least 5 years experience in Sales, Marketing or Key Account preferably from the FMCG and/or Pharmaceutical industry  
  • Fluency in English

Meriting

  • Fluency in a Nordic language
  • Knowledge from the VET-industry
