About the job
You will start with empty hands with the goal to build up Fundlegal during 2019. Investment management needs a strong legal function covering all aspects from client agreements to in depth documentation of our different fundproducts. You and the future team will work closely with all functions in the company supporting our daily fundbusiness. A special focus during 2019 will be to build up a strong team with a variety of experiences and strengths. The role includes participation in the management team as well as other responsibilities as representative of investment management inside and outside of SEB. You and your team will be part of the staff function of SEB Investment Management AB. SEB Investment Management offers a broad range of funds and tailored portfolios for all different client segments that SEB focus on. We manage around 750 billion SEK. The staff function consists of around 15 people with the purpose to support Investment Management in risk, staff, financial and in the future, legal matters.
Who are you?
You need to have strong leadership skills in combination of in depth fund-legal knowledge. An understanding of business needs and ability to prioritize are crucial competences. Formal degree in law followed by hands-on experience from fund and securities law will be a crucial competence. English in writing and spoken is vital as you will have team members in Luxemburg and work crossborder. As a person you need to balance your specialist role with the managerial role and be communicative, driven and open for new solutions.
